Video edit for the Surfer footage simulating a camera taking a photograph effect. The camera visuals were created in photoshop first before importing into Premiere Pro CS5 for the final post production process.
Alternative design to the Triptych video edit. For this edit I used GoPro footage from 2 runs, the first with the GoPro mounted on the handlebars of the cycle facing forwards. For the 2nd run with the GoPro mounted on the rear support bar facing backwards.
I’ve edited the footage with the forward facing footage on the left of the screen and the rear facing on the right. I created a title to divide up the screen and add bars top and bottom to mask the unequal video sizes.
I used the ‘Threshold’ effect to give the final video an almost animation style and to desaturate the image rather than use the Black & White preset.
This is the long version edit I created for the client, a compilation of the sports of Surfing, Athletics and Cycling.
The footage was captured over a period of weeks using my Canon 60D a GoPro and additional footage from Aleksandra using her Canon 600D.
Edited using Premiere Pro and After Effects CS5.
